28 Minute Beef in Beer Sauce


Preparation Time: 13 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes


4 medium pieces pumpkin, peeled and cubed 1/4 small cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup water 15g butter
4 bolar blade steaks, 125g each 1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, sliced 1/2 cup beer
1 teaspoon mixed garlic pinch cayenne (optional)


1 Put on a pan of water for the pumpkin. Put the cabbage into another pan with the water, butter and caraway seeds and cook gently, covered 8-10 minutes.
2 Pound out the steaks to flatten them. Heat the oil in a frying pan, brown the steaks on each side, remove to a warm platter.
3 Add the onion to the pan, cook until translucent 2-3 minutes, then add the beer, garlic and cayenne. return steaks to pan, simmer 8-10 minutes until tender.
4 Remove steaks and serve with a little of the sauce, the cabbage and pumpkin.
