| Put on a pan of water for the pumpkin. Put the cabbage into another pan with the water, butter and caraway seeds and cook gently, covered 8-10 minutes.

| Pound out the steaks to flatten them. Heat the oil in a frying pan, brown the steaks on each side, remove to a warm platter.

| Add the onion to the pan, cook until translucent 2-3 minutes, then add the beer, garlic and cayenne. return steaks to pan, simmer 8-10 minutes until tender.

| Remove steaks and serve with a little of the sauce, the cabbage and pumpkin.
