18 Minute Walnut Beef


Preparation Time: 8 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes


600g piece lean beef strips 2 packets quick cooking noodles
1 tablespoon oil 1/2 red capsicum, sliced thinly
1 tablespoon soy sauce 4 cups shredded chinese cabbage
1 teaspoon ginger powder 1/2 cup walnuts
1 clove garlic, crushed


1 Heat oil in a wok or frying pan over high heat. Add beef strips, stri fry 3-5 minutes or untill meat is brown all over. Do not allow beef to boil in it's juices.
2 Add soy sauce, ginger and garlic to meat. In a large pot bring 4 cups of water to the boil. Add noodles, cook according to directions on packet.
3 Add capsicum to beef, stir well, then fold in shredded cabbage. Combine well. season to taste.
4 Drain noodles. Divide and serve onto four plates, top with beef mixture and scatter walnuts over the top.
