35 Minute Meat Loaf Plaits


Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes


450g lean beef mince 1 onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons chopped parsley 1 banana, finely chopped
1/2 cup wholemeal breadcrumbs 1 egg, lightly beaten
2 sheets PAMPAS Ready Rolled Puff Pastry, thawed Egg glaze
2 carrots, cut into strips 2 zucchini, cut into strips
1 cob corn, sliced


1 Preheat oven 230C (450F). Combine mince, onion, parsley, banana, breadcrumbs and egg. Season to taste. Mix well.
2 Cut each sheet of puff pastry in half. Spoon 1/4 of mince mixture down centre of each piece of pastry. Brusg edges of pastry lightly with water. Cut pastry on either side of filling into diagonal 1cm strips. Lift alternate strips over filling to resemble a plait. Place on a lightly greased oven tray. Glaze with egg.
3 Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until pastry is golden.
4 Steam or microwave carrots, zucchini and corn, 6-8 minutes. Serve vegetables hot with Meat Loaf Plaits.
